The Lone star shaft is located at the eastern end of Adsit street in Warren. It was developed by the Warren Development and Reality Company. The company purchased the property of the Calumet & Cochise  Mine. They felt that although the Calumet & Cochise shaft had reached a proper depth it had been sunk in the wrong location. The Lone star Claim was selected as the site for the new shaft. This shaft was eventually sunk to a depth of 700ft. and was also unsuccessful. The property eventually sold to Phelps Dodge Corporation. During the 1990’s the shaft remained open but was raw and surrounded by a sheet metal fence.
