South Bisbee #1 Shaft

This obscure shaft is only known from a single newspaper reference, but the shaft was likely sunk by the South Bisbee Copper Mining & Town site Company around 1898 or earlier. The location was likely near the Cole Shaft (South Bisbee #2 shaft). This area has been heavily disturbed by the dumping of waste from both open pit mining and underground mining and the actual site cannot be determined.
