New York Mine
The New York Mine was located on New York Claim at the southwestern end of Sacramento Hill, about 40ft southwest of the Sacramento shaft. This early property was being developed by Judge J. F. Duncan as early as November 1880. Eventually, the claim was prospected by three shafts 150 ft. a part, with the depths of 20ft. 80ft. 140 ft., plus a few prospect holes. As of 1885, Duncan was not was not working on property in expectations of selling it. After time it came, under the ownership of the Copper Queen Consolidated Mining Company. The surface of the claim was largely mined out by the Lavender Pit during the 1950s.
